In 1991 the Boathouse Hostel was one of the first hostels to start operating in Prague and since then it has been providing its services not only to backpackers, but also to tourist groups from all around the world and local tourists.

We have had the privilege of accommodating Czech water polo and synchronized swimming national teams, Dutch figure skaters, Prague marathon participants and other participants in prominent cultural and sports events.

The numerous letters, drawings and postcards that decorate the interior of our hostel are a testimony to their satisfaction.

Although situated in countryside surroundings with a beautiful view of the Vltava River, it is easy to get to the city center and it takes no longer than 20 minutes to reach the historical center of Prague. You can even reach us by night tram.

There are very few places in Prague where, surrounded by a river, a golf course and a cycling path, you are only a matter of minutes from the historic center.  The majority of our guests have appreciated our attitude and our philosophy – i.e. a pleasant and clean environment for a reasonable price, tasty meals and above all the feeling of being at home.

Both of us are Prague natives and we take pride in the beauties of our city. Thus we try to ensure that our guests leave with unforgettable experiences of both our capital and their stay with us.
